YES, TOMORROW, SATURDAY NOVEMBER 3RD: SAC AU LAIT at Centerstage!! 5pm-8pm in their upper lobby. This is not only FREE but they're giving our dancers FREE TICKETS to the show "Hearts" that's running that day.. you can choose either to see the 2pm matinee and then stay to dance, or dance and then see the 8pm show. The space is awesome. The floor is tight carpeting but don't worry, you can definitely spin and dance comfortably on this... we tried it out!! Next Saturday (November 10th), there will be a dance (Lindy Hop/Swing) at Johns Hopkins in the Great Hall. It's a beautiful space. $10 ($5 for students) with a free beginner swing dance lesson at 8pm, and a dance from 9pm-midnight. Map and parking instructions etc are on the website:

NEW TUESDAY CLASSES - REGISTRATION OPENS TONIGHT!! Yes, they ALL filled last time, so you better sign up quick!! Classes begin November 20, 2007 and end January 22, 2008 (skipping Christmas and New Years). As always, these series are registered and paid in advance (or on the first day). Cost is $80 per 8 week series ($50 for students). Or try one of our packages of $140 for 2 series ($90 for students). There is a limit of 24 students per class (12 leaders, 12 followers), so sign up early!!
NOTE: We WILL cut off registration at 12 leaders and 12 followers. It is OK to miss some classes here or there.

Introduction to Lindy Hop
(Beginner/Intermediate) Even if you have some Lindy Hop experience, it is always recommended to continue learning basic technique. If you have taken this class before, you can repeat it for FREE any time you want. NOTE: We encourage you to take this class with the Beginnings/Endings class at 8:30. Prerequisite: a few weeks of the Monday classes or other swing dance experience. Beginnings and Endings
(Beginner/Intermediate) This class is all about beginning a song with moves that get you in tune with your partner and the music, and leaving your partner with a lasting impression of the perfect dip, pose, or turn. We'll give examples of frequently played songs and how to hit the big finale for each. NOTE: We encourage you to take this class with either the 7:30 Intro or the 9:30 Jam class. Prerequisite: a few weeks of the Monday classes or other swing dance experience.

Jam Material
(Intermediate/Advanced) Here they are: the best-loved patterns, tricks, and footwork and timing variations for performance situations. In addition to widely-recognized steps, we'll show you some of the moves we have invented over the years for competition routines. Even if you never intend to use these eye-catching moves in a jam, you'll be glad you learned them. NOTE: We encourage you to take this class with the Beginnings/Endings class at 8:30. Prerequisite: Introduction to Lindy Hop or some experience with 8-count lindy hop
