This SATURDAY (20th), there will be a 1/2 Blues 1/2 Lindy dance at Johns Hopkins in the Glass Pavillion (instead of a Friday dance) (for those of you who have been attending the Friday dances there, Glass Pavillion is right near the Great Hall except instead of going straight at the entrance just turn right down the hall). It's a beautiful space! $10 ($5 for students) includes a FREE BLUES LESSON FOR ALL LEVELS (cool Blues stuff that anyone can learn) at 8pm, and a dance from 9pm-midnight. Attention BLUES dancers: we're thinking of starting a Blues venue here in town, BUT we need to know how many of you would be interested. IF you're interested in Blues dancing in Baltimore, definitely support the Saturday Blues/Lindy dance at Hopkins so we know you're out there!!
This SUNDAY (21st) will be our LAST Patterson Park dance of the season! Make it a good one. (Patterson Park pays our permit fees and brings us water and stuff so come support this so that they'll have us back next year!!) Weather channel says: "Abundant sunshine. Highs in the upper 70s and lows in the upper 50s." That's what I'M talkin bout. Free dancing, a free lesson, and sun.

** SPECIAL SATURDAY NOVEMBER 3RD ** Centerstage (a theater in downtown Baltimore) is having a "Stage Door Canteen" party (a tribute to the WW II veterans) from 5pm-8pm in their upper lobby. They've invited us to bring dancers to their party!! This would not only be FREE but I've asked them to give our dancers FREE TICKETS to the play "Hearts" that's running that day.. you can choose either to see the 2pm matinee and then stay to dance, or dance and then see the 8pm show. We're TRYING to get SAC AU LAIT to play!!! I'll send out more details later, and information about registering for this and how to get your tickets, and of course let you know if it will be live band or DJ.. but MARK YOUR CALENDARS if you're interested. The floor is tight carpeting but don't worry, you can definitely spin and dance comfortably on this... we tried it out!!
